Lab Walkthrough Video:

A memory dump of a Windows machine is provided in the home directory of the root user. You have to use Volatility to  analyze the memory dump and answer the following questions:

  1. Which profile is suitable for the given memory dump?
  2. What is the name of the machine (i.e. COMPUTERNAME)?
  3. What is the SID associated with the running process winlogon.exe?
  4. Which command is used to view the list of running processes?
  5. What is the Offset for the process with PID 2052?
  6. How many DLLs were loaded by the process with PID 5092?
  7. What command line argument was passed to 'FAHWindow64.exe' binary?
  8. GoogleUpdate.exe is connected to a remote machine. What is the IP address of that remote machine?

Technical Support for this Lab:

There is a reason we provide unlimited lab time: you can take as much time as you need to solve a lab. However, we realize that sometimes hints might be necessary to keep you motivated!

We currently provide technical support limited to:

  • Giving hints for a lab exercise
  • In rare circumstances, if you have totally given up (NO!!!) then tell you how to solve it. This will be limited to sharing the solution video or lab report
  • A lab exercise fails to load or has errors in it

If you need technical support, please email  attackdefense@pentesteracademy.com  clearly mention the name and link of the lab exercise and other essential details. The more descriptive you are, the faster we can help you. We will get back to you within 24 hours or less.
