Lab Walkthrough Video:

This lab is a setup to learn Docker basics. Docker is installed on user's machine along with all other required tools. You will get CLI access to this machine.

Objective: Practice docker basics in the lab!

Guidelines:

  • Docker daemon, Docker client and Docker-compose are installed on the machine
  • Docker daemon is not running on the lab start. Please start it using /etc/init.d/docker start
  • A private docker registry machine is present on the same network. It can be accessed with the hostname 'registry' on port 5000.
  • Internet access is not available on the machine. Hence, any request to the main docker registry (docker.io) will fail.

The following activities are strictly prohibited on this website unless otherwise explicitly stated as allowed in the mission statement:

  • Using automated scanners
  • Using brute force attacks
  • Denial of Service attacks
  • Attacking other student machines in challenges where you might achieve a shell on the vulnerable system
  • Attacking the lab infrastructure

Users violating the above will be either temporarily or permanently banned from the website.

If you are unsure about an activity, then please contact support to confirm that it is allowed on our website.
