Chrome: History

In this forensics exercise, Chrome is installed on the system and all required tools are present on the system. The exercise is supposed to be done manually using first principles of analyzing Chrome preference data.
You have to find the answers to the following questions:
History
- Which travel website the user used to check for hotels?
- Which was the destination state for which the user checked/booked the hotel?
- Which website was opened last?
- What is the name (complete name with extension) of the torrent file downloaded by the user?
- What is exact source URL of the downloaded file?
- How many distinct searches were made by the user (using chrome’s inbuilt google search)?
- Which table contains the letter by letter record of the searches made through inbuilt google search?
The following activities are strictly prohibited on this website unless otherwise explicitly stated as allowed in the mission statement:
- Using automated scanners
- Using brute force attacks
- Denial of Service attacks
- Attacking other student machines in challenges where you might achieve a shell on the vulnerable system
- Attacking the lab infrastructure
Users violating the above will be either temporarily or permanently banned from the website.

There is a reason we provide unlimited lab time: you can take as much time as you need to solve a lab. However, we realize that sometimes hints might be necessary to keep you motivated!

- A lab exercise fails to load or has errors in it
