A shopping cart application allows users to their purchase laptops at low rates. The application makes use of JWT tokens for authorization purposes.
The application provides a feature to generate the invoice of the purchased items in PDF format. The backend makes use of an vulnerable release of wkhtmltopdf library used to generate the PDF.
Objective: Figure out the flaw in the PDF generation flow and determine the number of open ports on the target machine in range 1-100. Also, find out what service are running on those ports.
Note: Only provide the count of open ports for which you are certain!
- This lab is dedicated to you! No other users are on this network :)
- Once you start the lab, you will have access to a Kali GUI instance.
- Your Kali instance has an interface with IP address 192.X.Y.2. Run "ifconfig" to know the values of X and Y.
- The shopping cart application should be running on port 5000 on the machine located at the IP address 192.X.Y.3.
- wkhtmltopdf, the utility used to generate PDF from html is pre-installed in GUI instance.
- Do not attack the gateway located at IP address 192.X.Y.1
